
Richard Pachman - C.V.
Richard Pachman, known as the "Czech Vangelis", or "Czech Jarre" is the most famous esoteric music composer, keyboard player and singer in the Czech Republic.
Born in the Moravian city of Olomouc in 1966, Mr. Pachman began studying piano at the age of six and composed his first sings at 12 including "Dream", which later appeared on his first CD. Mr.Pachman studied composition and singing at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague for five years after his university degree in economics.
Mr. Pachman began his professional career in 1992 with the release of two meditative music cassettes, "Self-esteem" and Concentration".
In 1993 he released his first CD, "Dreams", which became best-sellnig new-age CD of the year in the Czech Republic. "Derams" was introduced in the USA at Mr. Pachman´s first solo concerts during the Music Educators´National Conference in Springfield, Massachussetts. Mr. Pachman later performed in several concert with the Newtown Symphonic Orchestra ( Newtown, NY) and in many churches and chapels throughout the Czech Republic.
1994 saw the release of Mr. Pachman second CD, "Sun", which was recorded in Prague and in New Jersey with the Monmouth Civic Choir. At this time Mr. Pachman premiered a new concert format incorporating the use of video for visual relaxation, which became very popular through many performances in the Czech Republic.
In 1995 Mr. Pachman released three CDs of classical music played in new-age style:"Relax with the Classics", "Relax with Mozart","Relax with Vivaldi". He also developed the fountain -light show "Scarabeus", which he performed in 20 sold-out concerts at Prague famous "dancing" Krizik Fountain. In the same year Mr. Pachman wrote several songs for Czech pop star Eva Pilarová, which appeared on her CD "Eva Pilarova and Guests". he also developed and performed in multimedia project at the Prague Planetarium and in a Christmas concert with the monks choir at Strahov Monastery.
Mr. Pachman released his sixth CD, "Scarabeus", in 1996 .He simultaneously released the video "Dreams of Scarabeus" based on the Krizik fountain-light show, as well as eight other videos based on earlier works. Richard Pachman has become a frequent guest on many Czech TV programs, and the song "Scarabeus" won Premiera TV Top Chart Award. He again starred in 20 sold-out concerts at Krizik Fountain with a new water-light show, "Dreams of Scarabeus", and in 10 multi-media shows entitled "Klavesarium" at the Prague Planetarium. As a very special tribute to his work, the CD "Scarabeus" was chosen by the Czech Olympic Committee to showcase Czech music, along with works of Dvorak and Smetana. Huge amount of the CDs were distributed at the 1996 games in Atlanta.
Mr. Pachman released his seventh CD ,"Universe", in 1997 (5.500 copies sold). It is a musical trip around the world. The CD was recorded in New York and in Prague. The most popular song in the Czech Republic, "Olomouc", was dedicated to Mr. Pachman´s home-town. The song reached top in many radio charts in 1997. The song "Ecuador" , as well as the "August" was released in Brasil at the new-age compilation Nova Era (70.000 sold copies). The video show "Dreams of Scarabes" was presented at French TV station Muzzik. Mr. Pachman starred in 25 sold-out shows "Universe - the Trip Around the World" at Krizik Fountain and he visited many cities with his Christmas concerts. The Christmas concert from Prague´s St. Thomas church was presented seven times by the Czech Cabel Plus TV. At the end of the year 1997 Mr.Pachman released his eight CD "Christmas Relaxation", using old Christmas music as well as new ideas of the composer.
In 1998 Mr. Pachman composed and recorded his first musical "Babička" based ot the most famous Czech novel written by Bozena Nemcova at the end of 18th century. He had also performed the show "Universe - the Trip Around the World" at the Krizik fountain and many Christmas concerts in the Czech Republic.
In 1999 Mr. Pachman composed and produced CD of popular young Czech pop singer Honza Musil. He starred in his new fountain show "Fountain Lights" at the Krizik Fountain. He visited many cities of the Czech Republic with his sold out Christmas concerts, he composed music for his CD 2000 and he composed music for 2 theatre shows.
In 2000 was premiere of the musical "Babička" and Richard Pachman composed and recorded music for the Czech movie "The Start of the World". The film score will be a small part of his new CD "Centurium" . Most of the songs is recorded in dream house style. The first and promotional song "Nightflight" is recorded with voice of a German singer "Heart". In the middle of the year had R. Pachman an accident. He spent 18 months in hospital.
In the year 2001 is Mr. Pachman singing again in his musical "Babička", which is very popular in Prague and in Vienna, and composing new musical project. Releasing the CD „Centurium“, producing the video for the song „NightFlight“ and „Angel“. His sold out Christmas tour in the Czech Republic and Austria with Dita and Diana Horinek was presenting also music from the forthcoming Christmas CD Gloria.
In the year 2002 is R.Pachman composing musical „Baron Prášil“, which was very popular in Zlin´s´Teatre and performs his multimedia water-lighs-video show „Centurium“ at the Prague´s Krizik´s Fountain. From October 2002 he presents his first paintings exhibition in the Sunrise Gallery in Prague. His Christmas Tour was very successful.
In the year 2003 Richard releases his Best of CD „RP 1993-2003“ with 5 new songs and 14 older remastered pieces, he composes music for his concert show Chansongs, he performs with his multimedia show „RP 1993-2003“ and he composes music for his Christmas CD „Gloria“. He presents his paintings at many exhibitions in the Czech Republic. He played at many concerts during his international Christmas Tour.
In the year 2004 Richard wrote his first book „The Taste of the Pain“ about his accident in the 2000 (when he by mistake drunk very strong chemical liquid and almost died…), he presented his paintings at two exhibitions in CR, he did Easter Tour, recorded his 13th CD Pianoviolin (in crossover style), played at own multimedia shows, at the Krizik´s Fountain, he did concerts with his new group PRoject.
In the year 2005 Richard performed with Jaroslav Svecený, worked on his oratorio about Master Jan Hus (premieres 29th Juni, 5th July), on CD Master Jan Hus (with RP, Ilona Csakova, Marian Vojtko and others), did concerts in Germany, Christmas Tour in the CR with Dita Horinkova and Ilona Csakova (15 concerts). His paintings were exhibited in the gallery Sunrise in Prague.
